Abydos is one of the oldest cities of ancient Egypt. Considered one of the most important archaeological sites in Egypt, the sacred city of Abydos was the site of many ancient temples and a royal necropolis where early pharaohs were entombed. These tombs began to be seen as extremely significant burials and in later times it became desirable to be buried in the area. Today, Abydos is notable for the memorial temple of Seti I, which contains an inscription from the nineteenth dynasty known to the modern world as the Abydos King List. It is a chronological list showing cartouches of most dynastic pharaohs of Egypt from Menes until Seti I's father, Ramesses I.
While Dendera is a small town and former bishopric in Egypt situated on the west bank of the Nile, about 5 kilometres (3 mi) south of Qena, on the opposite side of the river. It is located approximately 60 kilometres (37 mi) north of Luxor and remains a Latin Catholic titular see. It contains the Dendera Temple complex, one of the best-preserved temple sites from ancient Upper Egypt.
You will be picked up from your hotel ,then you drive to Abydos Temple. Explore the cult of the god Osiris, and hear about the gateway to the underworld. Marvel at the Temple of Seti I, built around 1300 BC by Seti I and his son, Ramses II. Look at the fine reliefs, considered among the best of the New kingdom.

Continue to the cenotaph at Osireion, built to honor the god Osiris. According to myth, the cenotaph contained his head. See the nearby temple built by his son, Ramesses II, and its depictions of battles. Learn about the greatest, and most powerful, man of the Egyptian Empire in detailed reliefs.
Drive to Dendera Temple to explore one of the best-preserved temple complexes in egypt.it's the most intact temple in Egypt , it was built by the Ptolemies (the successors of Alexander the Great in Egypt) to the Cow Goddess Hathor ,the Goddess of Motherhood,love and music, it is the only temple in Egypt where you can see a beautiful carving of Queen Cleopatra VII, this temple is chractrized by its vived colored relifs showing different astronomical scenes.
