Climate Change Conference 2022 - Egypt Preparations to host COP 27 in Sharm El-Sheikh

In an effort to build on prior accomplishments and pave the way for future ambition, the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt will host the 27th Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC (COP 27) on November 8, 2022. Governments, businesses, the financial sector, and civil society must all be mobilised to combat the disastrous repercussions of climate change. Leaders from the public and business sectors will come together in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt for COP27 with the goal of creating enforceable promises from industrialised nations to cut their emissions of greenhouse gases.

The fight against climate change is a process, not an event, and it calls for remarkable cooperation. Business and political leaders have a crucial chance at COP27 to redouble their efforts to combat climate change, form new partnerships, and find creative solutions. This year, the COP27 will place a special emphasis on enhancing adaptation and resilience, reducing emissions, promoting a just transition, and boosting funding and cooperation for crucial climate solutions.

The private sector and civil society have a designated area in Sharm El-Peace Sheikh's Park thanks to the Egyptian government. It intends to give the government, business, youth, women, and civil society a chance to share their climate change success stories. Ministers, CEOs, and high-ranking.

In addition, it will house a theatre, conference spaces, a Bedouin community area, cafeterias and eateries representatives from banks and private firms will attend side events staged in the Green Zone.
