EgyptJoy Tour representative will pick you up from your cruise in Alexandria port, then drive to Alamein, about one hour drive. At El Alamein, you will enjoy the site where the great battle took place during Second World War, and visit the Military Museum, which opened in the year 1956 during the presidency of Gamal Abdel Nasser as a memorial of the The Battle of Al-Alamein between the British and the Germans in 1942. The museum includes the old weapons, tanks, flights, and bikes used in the WW II. Also the descriptions actions of Montgomery, Rommel and the others participated in the battle are all on display. Winston Churchill, the British Prime Minister at the time, said after the war "Before Alamein we never had a victory. After Alamein, we never had a defeat".
Â Â Â You will have your lunch at high quality restaurant in El Alamein, then you will continue your way to the West of Al alamein a beautiful town overlooking the Mediterranean sea to visit the World War Cemeteries where you will see the cemeteries, the final resting place for Common wealth, Greek, Italian and German soldiers.
Â Â Â Finally you will be escorted by your guide back to the cruise in Alexandria PortÂ (departure time from Al Alamein depends on the departure time of your ship in Alexandria Port).
