Start your tour in Cairo by visitingÂ the Pyramids of Giza; you will see the largestÂ pyramid of Khufu (Cheops),Â known as the Great Pyramid, is the onlyÂ one of the Seven Wonders of the WorldÂ that still survives. Start your tour by discovering the most interesting museum;Â the Egyptian Museum,Â whichÂ displays a rare collection of 5000 years of art which is considered the largest most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world. Over 120,000 artifacts are presented, including an exhibit dedicated toÂ Tutankhamen collectionÂ of treasure, gold and jewelry which was enclosed in his tomb for over 3,500 years before it was discovered in the 1922, when his tomb was excavated.
Then proceed to visitÂ Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque, whichÂ Situated on the summit of theÂ Citadel of Salah El DinÂ (constructed in 1183 AD), this Ottoman mosque is the largest to be built in the first half of the 19th century, and the most visible mosque in Cairo.Â LunchÂ will be served in a local restaurant. And if there is enough time continue driving to explore Khan El Khalili, one of the most famous and oldest bazaars in the Middle East. Finally you will be escorted by your guide back to your cruise ship in Alexandria PortÂ (Departure time from Cairo depends on the departure time of your ship at Alexandria Port).
