Egypt joy Egyptologist tour guide will pick you up from your Nile Cruise or Hotel in Luxor on a half day tour to visit Luxor Museum, inaugurated in 1975. The wonderful museum has a well-chosen collection of antiquities dating back to the Middle Kingdom (2055 BC – 1650 BC) and continued through to the end of the ancient pharaonic histroy, mostly gathered from Luxor temples and tombs. There is a new extension inside Luxor museum "the Glory of Thebes" launched in 2004, there are two royal mummies of Ahmose I and Ramses I of the New Kingdom (1570 – 1050 BC). Some fantastic collection dating back to the time of the New Kingdom.
later on the tour will be continued to visit Luxor Mummification Museum, opened to the public in 1997, the small museum displays human and animal mummies, tools used in the mummification process, explaining the art of mummification which is an important subject belongs to Ancient Egypians.
Your visit to the Mummification Museum ends your tour and you will be taken back to your hotel or anywhere else in Luxor as you like.
